Vasiliy Lomachenko Vs. Luke Campbell: Date, Time, TV And Live Streaming

WBO and WBA Lightweight Champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (13-1, 10 KO) is a contender for boxing's pound-for-pound title, and he is headed to the United Kingdom for his next challenge against Luke Campbell (20-2, 16 KO). Lomachenko will be looking to add the now vacant WBC crown to his collection.

Here's how you can watch.

Date: Saturday, August 31
Time: 4pm ET
TV: None
Live Stream: ESPN+

Lomachenko has become a significant draw whenever he fights, and the opponent is almost secondary. He's not quite on the level of Manny Pacquiao or Canelo Alvarez in this regard, but Lomachenko is on the next tier. On Saturday at the O2 Arena, Lomachenko will put his unique set of tools on display. The 31-year-old's nearly unblemished amateur career has been followed up by an arguably equally impressive career run through 14 fights.

There may not be a better collection of boxing-related skills and talents present in another fighter in the world. Because of all this, Lomachenko is a huge favorite.

Per MyBookie, he is listed as a -1350 favorite and Campbell is a +835 underdog. Despite the long odds, Campbell has some skills–and the fight takes place in his home country. Physically, he may also have an advantage.

Campbell stands 5'9" compared to Lomachenko, who is listed at 5'7". Like Lomachenko, Campbell is also an Olympic gold medalist. The two losses on his record were split-decision defeats at the hands of Jorge Linares and Yvan Mendy, and he avenged the setback against the latter.

Clearly, he is a worthy challenge.

However, even against an opponent with a resume as impressive as Campbell's and fighting on the road, Lomachenko is still expected to win decisively while setting up an even bigger fight in his next outing.
