The 33-year-old Donaire (36-3, 23 KOs) won the junior featherweight belt for the first time when he dropped and outpointed Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. for a vacant belt in 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

Bedak (25-1, 8 KOs) has won 10 fights in a row since suffering his only loss, a 10th-round knockout to Vazquez in a 2010 junior featherweight world title bout.
